I'm Sarai, the heart behind Pressed and Bloomy. I started my flower preservation business during my own wedding planning, and it was one of those "aha!" moments that just felt right. I’ve always loved being creative, and when I discovered the world of flower preservation, I knew it was the perfect way to merge my passion for flowers and art.

 

I grew up between California and Utah, and thanks to my Mexican roots (and some time living in Italy!), I've gotten to experience so many beautiful cultures. It’s made me fall in love with the stories of people's lives, with art and color, and with meaningful design. Whenever I can, I like to pull inspiration from those places and moments into the pieces I create.

 

After graduating from Utah State University as a first-gen college student (still one of my proudest accomplishments!), I eventually stepped away from my corporate HR career to build Pressed and Bloomy full-time. I wanted the freedom to create, to be in charge of my own time, and to build something meaningful from the ground up. Becoming my own boss and growing a business aligned with my passions has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m really proud of what I’m creating.

 

When I’m not in my studio, you can find me cooking for my family and friends, diving into different design inspirations (from home and fashion to art), or learning something new. Balancing motherhood and family while running a business has its challenges, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
